Computing

Intent

'If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow.’ John Dewey, philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer.

Computing is an integral part of our everyday life, and will play an immeasurable part in our children’s futures.  At St Christopher’s, we teach children the computing skills that will empower them to SHINE as active participants in an increasingly digital world.  We want our learners to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.  We will equip them to be:

  • Digital citizens who are safe and responsible;
  • Digital creators who are logical and innovative;
  • Digital communicators with a high level of digital literacy;
  • Digital investigators who can develop ideas independently and collaboratively.
