Within the limitations set out by statutory guidance and health and safety legislation and wherever possible, St Christopher's school will remain open during the school day to deliver education to its pupils. This statement supports the schools aspiration to deliver the highest quality education to its pupils.

In the event that we do have to suddenly close the school we will make every effort to publicise the decision. This will be done using:

• The school's phone text system.
• Via the school and county council websites.
• Via HEART FM, GWR and BBC Radio Oxford.
• And using the school's ClassDojo messaging system.

If possible staff and/or a notice will be posted at the school gates to help prevent pupils from being left by parents at the start of the school day.

For this procedure to work it is essential that parents keep the school up to date with any change in their contact details
