St Christopher's C of E School

Welcome to our school

school panorama

Our school is a small rural Church of England Primary School with a distinctive ethos founded on Christian values. Our vision is to have a school where:

  • The uniqueness of individuals is respected and valued.
  • The staff provide a safe and nurturing environment which supports children to approach their learning with an enquiring mind, courage and perseverance.
  • Children’s continually evolving needs are identified and they are equipped with the skills and motivation to succeed.
  • All achievements are recognised and children learn to value their own successes.

All within the loving support of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It was therefore very pleasing to receive the following comments in our latest SIAMS inspection report (July 2015) highlighting how the school family is living out that vision.

Christian values at the heart of the life of this school create a family feel and high learning aspirations.”

“They say, ‘teachers really get to know you. They guide you in the right way to go.’”

“Pupils say, ‘Values make the school a nicer place because people think about them all the time.’ As a consequence, behaviour and relationships are good. Pupils are polite, courteous and appreciative of what the school provides.”

St Christopher’s offers a happy, safe and friendly environment for children and their families. The staff team are experienced and dedicated to their roles in education. We believe in being inclusive and aim to provide an education which meets the needs of every individual. Therefore our curriculum is broad, balanced and enriched with extra learning opportunities.

Please continue to browse our website and find out more about the school, the staff and the curriculum. To get a feeling for the ethos and atmosphere of the school at work, you would be most welcome to visit – please telephone for an appointment.
